The goal comes in 7 pieces. 2 posts with backbars attached, 2 bases and 1 crossbar with 2 extensions. The net is secured on the crossbar. All the pieces attach with a snap button system. It is very easy to see which part goes with which part. You can assemble the goal within 6 minutes and take it down within the same amount of time. To see how to change the width and how to assemble the goal watch this 3:34 minute YouTube video.
The crossbar is telescopic. There is an extension on each end of the crossbar. You can open and close the width of the crossbar by moving the extensions in or out of the crossbar. You can see how easy it is to change by going to this YouTube video.
Yes, you can! There are rubber pads on the bottom of the bases and there are no sharp edges on the frame so you will not mark or scratch a gym floor.
The goal is robust and strong enough that you could leave it up all year and many clubs do leave them up all year.
